Been in the hobby for quite a while now. (started in 2015 with a F450) BorisB and MetalDanny are both Dutch and live quite close to me and really inspired me to start building my own quadcopter and fly. Heck I even flew with them a few times. I'm not so much into racing but more into building and freestyle. Because I wanted to say hi I made a vid, a compilation of my last two days flying. I hope you enjoy (any feedback is appriciated) Posts: 634 Threads: 56 Likes Received: 335 in 196 posts Likes Given: 183 Joined: Mar 2016 Reputation: 15 Hi Fint, welcome to the forum happy that you managed to say HI and post a nice compilation, maaaaaan what a spot, some trees with nice distance between them and... no ninja branches... i want more movies there proximity + speed = kaboom All the best Grzesiek (Grisha/ Greg) Curently flyable: Nox 5, Minimalist 112 Bench / in progres: fixing Nox 3, Scrap thinking about building: 450 • Posts: 1,070 Threads: 70 Likes Received: 742 in 378 posts Likes Given: 577 Joined: Jan 2016 Reputation: 44 How often do you struggle with removing the sand from the motors? Some wicked speed with the skills you have showcased there, and a great spot too. Anyone know of anybody else who can claim a 'tree hugger' badge with their 1st post!? Welcome man, I hope you enjoy your time here! That spot is indeed a great find. It's part of this forest where they also do military training. The only ninja branches there are are from these dead trees they layed down around the edge. It seems they use the slope for jeep training or something. Will be checking it out more, need to get faster! Amazing spot btw It's a big downside of that spot, lets say we try to keep a can of compressed air in the backpack (23-Jul-2017, 10:41 PM)sirdude Wrote: Glad you decided to say hello. Welcome man, I hope you enjoy your time here! I've been trying to find a good spot on the big webs. We had a very active community in The Netherlands 3 years ago but everything moved into the international scene. And it seems to get more and more fragmented, google, facebook, instagram, rcgroups, fpvlab, ... etc etc I think I'm going to drop most of them and just focus on intofpv Thank you all for the warm welcome! Have fun! Great video, I too was like "omg sand! so scary" but it seems you've already got that part handled. Now if only you could do video while the jeeps are out there that would be super awesome! too bad the military would probably frown on "drones" that weren't theirs flying lol... carl.vegas Current Quads: Operational: Diatone GT2 200 In need of repair: Bumble Bee, tehStein, Slightly modified Vortex 250 • Posts: 2,410 Threads: 136 Likes Received: 1,790 in 1,052 posts Likes Given: 3,302 Joined: Jan 2017 Reputation: 50 A bit late here, but welcome none the less Fint.
