HGLRC Flame 1407 3600kV Motors
#1
Does anyone have anyone on here have any experience of the HGLRC Flame 1407 3600kV motors that they would care to share?

There are a couple of foreign language reviews on YouTube plus customer reviews on Banggood but I would prefer an endorsement (or slating) of them from someone on here if anyone has used them on any of their builds. I know they were used on the HGLRC XJB-145 which seems to get reasonable reviews but I don't see any long term usage or reliability comments about them anywhere.

I'm looking for some appropriate motors to put on my Acrobrat frame to use with 3" tri-blade props, and not needing a speed demon and wanting something with a bit more efficiency, I thought these motors with their lower kV value looked to be a possible suitable option. Plus I'm looking to go with a blue theme this time so they also fit perfectly from that perspective as well.

You won't be disapointed.
I sunk 4 motors in muddy flood waters for about 4 hours. One bearing was too crunchy for smooth flight but still flew. Replaced that one and I am still flying the other 3.
I have only ever bent one motor from a 30ft drop to pavement which also broke an arm. Hit at an angle directly on top of shaft.
They have loads of power and torque as well. I have screamed them on 3" props with extreme pitch, never complaining. Wink

Fantastic. Just what I wanted to hear Big Grin I was also looking at the Diatone Edge 1408 4000kV motors but I think they might be a little too powerful for my skill level.

I'll stick some of the HGLRC's on my shopping list Cool

I was excited to try the Diatone 1408 4000kv, but extremely let down by the bearings. Made for a very "twitchy" desync prone build. I even jave a video warning about them lol.
You can still get plenty enough power to scare ya with the Flame motors. Wink
If I ever get around to changing out the Diatone bearings, they might be a lot better.

I have not had any bearing or desync issues with mine, they have been great motors so far with 30+ flights, and insanely fast even on 3S.

I think it is just the nature of this hobby to occasionally have QC issues on runs of parts, especially considering how cheap most everything is.

Sounds like you got a good batch. When I have seen them perform it's great. Just overall seem to have more bearing issues than other motors in the same price range.
