Hello, greetings and salutations.
I'm very new to this whole fpv thing. I've yet to fly fpv, though I do have several quads with cameras. The first I got was a Mavic Pro. I found it deceptively easy to fly but got a couple of toy grade quads to practice crashing. Got to where I could fly LOS somewhat, but was intrigued by fpv. Got a Taranis QX7 and FPVFreerider. Hooked them up after much grief following instructions on YouTube that were wrong. Practiced, practiced, practiced until I felt it was time to start crashing fpv quads. Selected one horrible brushed quad and one, hopefully, great brushless. Bound them to the Q7, found Cleanflight and Betaflight. Made so many mistakes I had to back away and start reading some more. Still haven't gotten either quad in the air, but I've not quit.
I know no one in the area flying quads, but I'm hoping that will change soon. Have a friend interested, but he's behind me in the steep learning curve.
I'm a very old man to be learning to fly, but I love it. So, there you have it. Oh, the quads other than the Mavic Pro?
