I bought my first kit from RadioC about 6 months ago and really enjoyed the build and set up - a Diatone 250 frame, Naze32 etc. I flew this LOS for a few months and the bug really got me. I had to try FPV. My girlfriend got me a 7" screen and Rundam Swift & vtx and off I went. Wow!!! Took a couple of weeks but my confidence really started to grow. I invested in some Dom V3s recently and the experience is even better, I am totally hooked. I upgraded the ESCs to 20A DYS from Emax 12A and the performance difference was night and day - I think it was being able to run oneshot and damped light. I also put Betaflight onto the Naze and it all seems to be working well. 3 blade props too. I'm looking forward to building a 4S setup soon, but more importantly meeting some local flyers and learning as much as I can. It seems everyone starts off with those damn EMax 12A ESCs and then discovers how much difference a modern ESC makes, so you're far from alone! I can probably also guess that the motors on your first build are the EMax 2204 2300kv motors that are listed as being 2S - 3S compatible? They also run just fine on 4S and are actually really good motors. If you're looking to see if there are people nearby on this forum you could always use the map http://intofpv.com/usermap.php It doesn't look like there are any pins in Connecticut yet (unless you place one) but don't let that stop you. carl.vegas Current Quads: Operational: Diatone GT2 200 In need of repair: Bumble Bee, tehStein, Slightly modified Vortex 250 Posts: 2,416 Threads: 51 Likes Received: 1,861 in 1,175 posts Likes Given: 3,315 Joined: Mar 2016 Reputation: 74 13-Apr-2017, 01:17 AM (This post was last modified: 13-Apr-2017, 01:17 AM by sloscotty.) Yes - you're totally right about both esc and motors Might have to try with a 4s battery at some point, just need to double check the other parts. Welcome hendrixhughes! oh that makes sense... I was thinking "isn't Manchester really a part of the Hartford greater area"... but I figured maybe not... The company I work for has a Manchester office in CT so I instantly thought of that town when I saw the name... lol carl.vegas Current Quads: Operational: Diatone GT2 200 In need of repair: Bumble Bee, tehStein, Slightly modified Vortex 250 Posts: 2,286 Threads: 38 Likes Received: 1,527 in 995 posts Likes Given: 1,881 Joined: Apr 2016 Reputation: 72 13-Apr-2017, 09:44 PM (This post was last modified: 13-Apr-2017, 09:55 PM by unseen.) Edit: Hang on, I have one of those..
