Has my receiver burnt?
#61
If you're talking about the Nyloc nuts then you can re-use them many many times. I'm still using the original nuts that I started out with and I've lost count how many times I've removed and replaced the props.

You need to hold the motor bell and tighten the nut as much as you can by hand. After you've tightened the nut, if you hold the motor bell tight then with one hand, you shouldn't be able to move the prop round on the shaft with your other hand.

EDIT: Your photos show that the nut isn't screwed down enough. Keep turning it until there is no gap top or bottom of the prop hub. It doesn't matter if some of the shaft is sticking out above the nut when it's fully tightened down. That is absolutely fine.

Okay, thank you very very much again. On the photo it is tightened by my hand and it's the most i can do by my hand. I will tighten w/ a tool all the way down.

I guess I should have been chosen my words a bit more carefully Big Grin When I said "by hand" I meant by using a hand spanner (by hand) and not with a pneumatic power wrench Big Grin

Hahah Big Grin I didn't refer to your "by hand" i meant i have tightened by hand that far because of the nylon and wondered if the nyloc is usable for several times. Thank you very much for your help and replies and sorry for that kind of basic questions since i have started with failure and invested 1300$ on sth. i am not familiar with, i want to be sure before doing something  Confused First flight done w/o any issue   Big Grin however i flew los and it's not as easy as lift-off lol  Rolleyes  btw my auw is 1030gr.and with my 4s 5000mah .80 charged batt, i flew around 10min then batt. dropped to %37-40.
You may know i also have 6s 4000mah, can i use it w/ stock capacitor (470uF 35v) and when i was flying in lift-off i changed rates (rc rate, rc expo) and decreased the rate from 1700deg/s to 400deg/s. How can i obtain this rate on my quad? And thank you very much once again Big Grin

I am curious what quad do you have? 4S 5000mah sounds quite big.

For the capacitor, 35V is enough. Although some would recommend 50V. Basically double what you need. But I run 35V also and haven't had a problem. The capacity of 470uf is a little small, if you are not getting crazy VTX noise or desyncing, then it should be fine. Most of us use 1000uf.

You can decrease your rates in the PID settings if you want to reduce the deg/sec.

Congrats on your first flight.

@Voodoo - photos are at the link below (OP posted this link in post #55). I did previously raise my eyebrows at the size of the LiPo Big Grin

@OP - You can get away with a 35V capacitor with a 6S LiPo but it might be on the limit depending on how hard you push the quad. The bigger question is, what motors do you have? Your motors are usually tailored to either 4S or 6S but not both, and you could end up smoking motors if you're not careful. The general rule is higher Kv for 4S and lower Kv for 6S.

Looks like a 7 inch quad. 2200-3500mah is more the range of a 7-8 inch.
