Hello, I am currently trying to connect my geprc nano gps to my speedybee f7 v3 fc but for some reason I don't get where I should connect it to. After reading the manual I saw that I can either connect a 5 pin connector between the gps and the controller but I have 2 issues there, first is I am not entirely sure because the gps only has 4 pins and the gps connector is 5 pinned, do I just leave one out if I solder the gps or does that not work? If that doesn't work, I saw I could solder it on the gps pins on the flight controller, only issue is that right below it is my dji air unit connected via a connector. Since the pins are right above it for the gps I do not know if it would interfere with the air unit that is plugged in below it.

Hi FeuerKai,
GPS modules normally come in two types 1) those with a compass and 2) those without. Those with a compass have a 6 wire connection: V+, GND, TX, RX, SCL, and SDA. Those without a compass have a 4 wire connection: V+, GND, TX, RX.

I have extracted the GPS part and show both 4-wire and 6-wire connections.

Hello and thank you so much for the answer, I have one question though. I have connected my air unit via a plug and the soldering pins for the gps (t6 & r6) are right above the plug. Does this interfere with the air unit if I solder the gps right above it ? I assume not but I don't want to blindly solder it on and then it breaks something

Hi FeuerKai,
Connecting the GPS as shown has nothing to do with the DJI plug and should NOT interfere at all. This is a multilayer board. In fact, the resources for the DJI plug are totally different from the pads used for the GPS.
The DJI Air unit uses T1, R1 and R2 resources.
The GPS uses T6 and R6 resources.
They do not overlap.
The picture that I pulled is directly from the SpeedyBee documentation. If they say it works this way, then that is how it works. So, solder it up and don't worry. It will be fine.
Ok, the next question is what RC Link protocol are you using? ELRS, TBS Crossfire, FrSky (if so, which one), Spektrum or Other?
You only need to be concerned with SBUS if you are using an SBUS receiver. ELRS and TBS Crossfire are NOT SBUS. Some FrSky receivers are SBUB, but not all of them. Spektrum...Hmmm...don't know.
