Friday is Tinyhawk repair day
#1
If most of u don’t know.. my wife is a middle school science teacher and had had quads in her classroom for a couple years. tellos, tinyhawks, the 5” lego build and recently eachine eoo9s..
Well, as much grief I give emax and their “proprietary stuff”.. these tinyhawks take a beating and keep asking for more..
This weeks repair looks like a plug got pulled apart and a camera lost a lens.. possibly missing a rx antenna but won’t know till I tear into it..
I got the e009s because of the flight time(approx 7 mins) and most of these kids haven’t progressed to fpv yet. I will give them an A+, the kids have been flying them to death.. so far no lost props or repairs..though one kid lost one over the school roof.. no big @ $11 a piece..well worth it..especially today....
My wife said there is a girl in her class that always has her nose in a book and never REALY participates.. but today she got her to fly .. and had a blast..
Days like today I have no issue doing repairs or spending money on parts for the kids..

That is so COOL. Wish my teacher all those years ago let us fly for a lesson. We had an Applied Electronics teacher that was into rc planes and gliders. He would let us come back after school and fly out control line planes, while he flew rc. On occasion he would even let us take over his glider for a while as well. That was what started the addiction for me way back in the 70's. Hopefully some of these kids will pick up on the hobby too.

Bad news, when the plug came apart.. the prongs made contact and toasted a esc...
Now back to the “Alternative to tinyhawk esc/fc” thread.. I am SERIOUSLY thinking of replacing them with mobula-6.@$84 a piece.. I did find a “alternative” fc.. .it’s cheaper, I will need a rx.. $8..
The Tinyhawk II’s fc’s are $74 and regular fcs are $50 If u can find them
