Foxeer Lollipop 4 Plus
#1
No sooner did Foxeer release their Lollipop 4 antenna (see another thread HERE) than they have now also released the Lollipop 4 Plus.

The "plus" version uses a printed circuit board antenna element design instead of a solid wire design of the "standard" version and it has a more ergonomic design. One could even argue that the have stolen the design looks from the Lumenier AXII 2.

The Lollipop 4+ costs an additional $10 USD ($29.90 USD) over the standard Lollipop 4 ($19.90 USD) so I guess people need to decide if that extra 33% price tag is worth paying.

Hmmm, interesting. Alex Greve (aka IBCrazy of Video Aerial Systems fame) has posted the following comment with regards to the Foxeer Lollipop 4 Plus antennas...

Alex Greve (IBCrazy) Wrote:Guys, please just order the real thing: Axii antennas. These don't perform nearly as well in my testing.

Yeah, I know I am promoting my biggest competitor, but I hate seeing the level of BS in the antenna industry.

as ibcrazy improved the antenna market for fpv, we might be better to follow his words, keep on receiving good antenna quality :-)

Where does TrueRC sit in the pond of antenna performance BS? I’ve always like them, found them to work well but have no exposure to foxeer antennas.

From foxeer I only buy cameras, I don’t like to order the fish at a steakhouse.

TrueRC (Hugo) is a very capable antenna designer on par with VAS (IBCrazy) in terms of expertise.

TrueRC designs the Lumenier AXII antennas.

VAS designs most of the TBS antennas.
