FoV on Runcam Eagle 2
#1
I'm trying to decide what FPV camera to put on my new build, and I want to try out the Runcam Eagle because everyone says it's amazing. However, my current quad has a Runcam Micro Swift 2 with a 2.1mm lens, so gets 165 degrees FoV. I'm wondering if going down to the 140 FoV of the Runcam Eagle is going to be noticeable/annoying for me. I currently have a 16:9 goggle but I plan to upgrade fairly soon to HD3s which are 4:3. Thanks!

I fly freestyle, and I really don't notice the differences in the camera FOV too much. When I am up in the air, I tend to focus in the centered. I have probably almost all the camera Runcam made in the last 2 years. I just get used to what I am flying.

Honestly, the FOV on these two cameras are not noticeable, because your attention will be drawn to how good the image is from the Eagle Big Grin

Thanks for the advice guys Smile actually ended up going for a Foxeer Falkor, mainly because it comes in white. But also because it looked a bit nicer in your comparison Oscar and was a little cheaper. I got the 1.8mm lens, which says it has 160 degree FoV in 4:3 (compared to only 145 degree in 16:9 wtf?).

Actually it makes perfect sense - 16:9 is cropped from 4:3 so the diagonal is shorter (and angle is smaller)

Yeah actually you're right. I guess I was confused because it's the other way on the Eagle 2 Pro, where 4:3 is lower FoV than 16:9, I guess because 4:3 is cropped from 16:9 instead.
