Flywoo GOKU TX-NANA VTX stuck in 25mW
#1
I have a Flywoo GOKU TX-NANO VTX and I am unable to set the power above 25mW.

I have followed the directions for manual changing:

Long Press button for 6S until flashing,
Then short press the button 3 times,
Then wait.
The power LED still only flashes 1 time on each cycle and shows 25 in the OSD.

When I use smart audio from the transmitter/OSD,
I change the power setting to 200,
Set,
Save and exit,
The power setting remains on 25mW.

What am I missing here???  HELP

I have attempted to contact Flywoo support, but the email does not go through.

First of all, take SmartAudio out of the equation by temporarily disabling it in the Ports tab and then try again.

I haven't looked at the documentation for that VTX but does it come "locked" by default? Some VTX's do so to comply with the local laws in some countries that prohibit a power setting to be used that is above 25mW. In order use higher power you have to "unlock" the receiver which is usually done with a sequence of button presses. If this is the case then it should say so in the manual.

Hi Snow,

Ok, I disabled SmartAudio, then... tried it again.

First, long press (more than 10 seconds) until the light flashes.

Long press (more than 6 seconds) until red light flashes,
Short press 2 times,
Wait,
Still on 25mW

This is everything it says about setting anything.

I believe that I have resolved this issue.

Interestingly, I couldn't find anything through Google internet searches.

So, I just started tinkering, experimenting, changing things just to see the results.

Even though the manual shows that the Port UART6 Peripherals should be set to (VTX IRC Tramp),
I changed it to (VTX TBS SmartAudio), now it appears to work.

Since I do not yet have anything to actually measure the power output of the VTX, I am relying on the OSD which now changes when you change the setting.

Interesting. This would not be the first time.
