1) I am NOT on Facebook and currently have NO plans to be on that platform.
2) Tampa is about a 4 hour drive from where we live.

I have been kicked out of one park and have had an encounter with a person of authority
at another park, so I am a bit leery of just flying any park. I don't fly at the beaches for a
wide assortment of reasons. National Parks are NO fly zones, so that takes them out. I don't
fly over forests or places where there is heavy brush or water. I will not fly over people's
houses in residential areas. Most of the rural areas are either fenced or not accessible anyway.
I don't fly over streets, highways, or railroad property either. There are some farms around that
don't have fences, but I am NOT keen on flying over some farmer's field because retrieving a
downed quad might be challenging. Plus, it is private property and farmers don't want you on it.
You just might get shot (at least where we are at). No Thank You.

Since all property, everywhere, is owned by someone and technically private property, I have
some reservations about your liberal concept of using a location just because there are no fences
or it is not posted "No Trespassing". Depending on where it is, it still might be a bit risky.

Yet, I keep looking for a clear, unobstructed, open space that is accessible and that I feel like
it might be ok. The other thing is that driving for over an hour to get to a fly location is just not
feasible on a regular basis. If it is too far away, it just won't work for me.

That said, keep us posted. It will be interesting.

County parks and county lands are fair game in Florida if you aren't comfortable flying in places without fences or trespassing signs. But I agree with you, Florida is full of dense, dangerous lands, often very wet and boggy, or near the coast it is sandy and salty....
