FC to 4in1 ESC wiring sanity check
#1
Hi there!

Mateksys HDTE FC to Aikon AK32 ESC wiring
Building a quad here for the first time. About to wire my Matek HDTE FC to my Aikon AK32 4in1 ESC and would love to have a second set of eyes on my wiring diagram.

Wiring is as follows (see imgur pic link below):
Vbat --> BAT+
G --> GND
Curr --> CURRENT
S1 --> ESC1
S2 --> ESC2
S3 --> ESC3
S4 --> ESC4

FrSky R-XSR RX to Mateksys HDTE FC

Moreover, I'm also about to wire my FrSky R-XSR receiver to my Matek HDTE FC. I'm slightly more confused about that one as the FrSky R-XSR receiver has two SBUS ports, one being SBUS_OUT/CPPM and another being SBUS_IN. In the below picture, the four receivers shown in the lower left corner are from Mateksys' own wiring diagram. Anyone dealt with this one before?

Your FC to ESC wiring is correct.

As for the R-XSR, just wire it as shown in the diagram. SBUS_IN is for a slave (redundant) receiver to be connected if you want it. Only really applicable when using these receivers in wings so just leave that disconnected. The SBUS_OUT wire is the RC command link wire and the S.Port wire is the return telemetry data wire for sending FC telemetry data back to your controller.

Your esc to fc wiring looks correct.

For your receiver to fc wiring:
Ignore the sbus in on the r-sxr. This is for adding a second slave receiver for redundancy.

Connect the sbus-out/ppm wire to the sbus pad on your fc.
Connect +5v on the receiver to 4v5 on your fc. This will make it so that your receiver powers up when you’re only connected via usb, while a normal 5v would only be powered if a battery is connected.
Connect GND on the receiver to GND.

That’s it. Don’t connect any of the other wires on the receiver.

If you want to over complicate things, you could solder a wire to the uninverted sport pad on the receiver and run it to the tx2 pad on your fc to enable smart port telemetry, or you could flash your receiver to enable f.port which is another headache. Smile

If you do want sport telemetry, you will have to use the uninverted pad on the receiver, not the sport wire on the connector, because there isn’t an inversion circuit in line with tx2 on that flight controller.

I suggest just ignoring the two paragraphs above about sport and fport, and simply connecting sbus-out, power, and ground.

Edit- Snow beat me to it.
Dangerous operations.

Disclaimer: I don’t know wtf I’m talking about.
I wish I could get the smell of burnt electronics out of my nose.
