Edgetx companion - unable to find radio SD card
#1
Hey guys - I can't connect to EdgeTX companion.

I'm plugged into my tx16s, it says "USB connected" on the screen, but EdgeTX companion says it's unable to find the radio SD card.

What do I do?

When I went to turn on my radio and test my quad I just built, I got "Storage Warning - Bad Radio Data"

Watched a Bardwell video about it, put the new edgetx 2.8.0 firmware on my SD card, but it didn't fix the issue.

Every time I turn it back on, it gives me the bad radio data error

I tried it with two different SD cards

When I go into dfu mode and say 'write firmware' it says the directory is empty

I'm so annoyed, been working on this for hours and can't get past this spot. Plz help

Try an older version of both.

Was there a specific new feature that you wanted from the latest version?

The transmitter can't be used it all. It says "Storage Warning - Bad Radio Data"

I even got a brand new TX16s today and used the sd card from that in my old TX16s but it still gives me the same error.

Try the method on this video. There’s many ways to get firmware on radio but this will rule out if the radio has bad hardware.

You could also try formatting the SD Card. Has to be FAT32 and don't do it from Linux (and maybe Mac) because for some reason or other it formats it incorrectly and the SD Card errors out. If you do it from Windows it works (as I found after two hours of messing about).

But the fact you pulled a brand new working SD Card from a brand new radio and it didn't work suggests maybe something more annoying has happened.
