I didn't know it existed but some people are telling me the armattan f1-4b is good. I'm planning to build 2 4 inch quads and my top contenders are tweaker and the f1-4b.

Heres what I got: Might I suggest you do not use landing legs, they will just hinder you, they will dig in and bend, snap off, more hassle than they are worth. I print up these and use on my quads. They just screw under the arm below the motor, lightweight. Ask me real nice and I will send you 4, It is the kind guys that we are..Sharing is caring. 24-Jun-2016, 02:51 AM (24-Jun-2016, 12:33 AM)trojanGoat Wrote: I didn't know it existed but some people are telling me the armattan f1-4b is good. Its definetly solid and high quality. 29-Jun-2016, 07:12 PM (24-Jun-2016, 12:46 AM)BigglesFPV Wrote: Might I suggest you do not use landing legs, they will just hinder you, they will dig in and bend, snap off, more hassle than they are worth. They're not actual legs. It's just foam material. However the "styling kit" I orderes comes with motor guards that works as legs as well so looks like I'm all set Thank you for your offer though. Appreciate it a lot Just have to take some patience-pills while I wait for stuff to arrive in the mail. Gotta hate the delivery-time to Norway 10-Jul-2016, 03:29 AM Well I got most of my parts. Just waiting for my X4R now. Questions I have now are, what wires should I use for the stuff around that has no "pre-made" wires with plugs? Like from battery to PDB? Telemetry wiring? Any pointers or tips? 11-Jul-2016, 03:41 PM It all comes down to how much current you are planning to conduct through the wires... You don't have to strickly follow this chart, but it gives you an idea: https://oscarliang.com/wire-awg-chart-quadcopter-rc/ for a 5" mini quad, you are probably looking at something between 80A to 100A between lipo to PDB/ESC , i would use 14AWG wires http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...ouse_.html between ESC to motors, 18/20AWG would be enough IMO... 11-Jul-2016, 04:42 PM (11-Jul-2016, 03:41 PM)Oscar Wrote: It all comes down to how much current you are planning to conduct through the wires... I'm guessing I can simpy solder the ESC wires directly since they're already long enough? 14-Jul-2016, 02:04 PM (This post was last modified: 14-Jul-2016, 02:06 PM by LeoTheHuman.) I'm using RCX 2205 2633KV motors with DAL 4045BN triblades on my Armattan F1-4B and that is probably the minimum I'd use. I'm not sure 1806 2280KV will cut it. 10DOF on a miniquad is an overkill. I am aware of the DOF being overkill, but price and weight difference is minimal so figured why not. Also about the motors, I was recommended Xnova XTS 1806-2300KV Supersonic but didn't really wanna put the money into it just yet. Guess I'll find out if it's enough or not. Also my Falcon 180 is just fine on 2300KV Eachine engines (kinda crap). Upgrades will probably be done later on regardless so I dont think it's gonna matter much PS. The 3D printed motorguards I got, and considering it's the 3mm frame, I need1806 for the quad. |
