Note: See edit below for another. Edit: In the video he mentions the Tomoquads Elcamino. Here is the pro version 2.1: https://tomoquads.miiduu.com/el-camino-p...ew-version Posts: 4,731 Threads: 392 Likes Received: 3,231 in 1,827 posts Likes Given: 3,214 Joined: Apr 2019 Reputation: 101 15-Oct-2019, 07:19 PM (This post was last modified: 15-Oct-2019, 07:20 PM by the.ronin.) Thanks sloscotty. I'd just rather support the more conventional frame makers than the high volume Banggood types (not to mention I *highly* question their quality). I am really liking that El Camino and kick myself for not finding it sooner. What made me grin a little was the sliding dual 20x20 mounting ... sliding lollllll that's friggin perfect haha. [edit] WHOA DUAL CAM. I missed that part I was salivating so much on the sliding thingy. Uh ... this means you might be able to fit a Runcam Split HD *AND* the Byte Frost. Oh wow. This is exactly what I'm looking for. • Posts: 6,099 Threads: 172 Likes Received: 2,283 in 1,830 posts Likes Given: 4,730 Joined: Feb 2019 Reputation: 100 sliding stack is realy something very nice about cog. • Posts: 4,731 Threads: 392 Likes Received: 3,231 in 1,827 posts Likes Given: 3,214 Joined: Apr 2019 Reputation: 101 For sure cog. But my issue with the Byte Frost has been the HD footage for videos. BF can't output very decent video. And I fly 3" and prefer not to carry a GoPro. So I had no idea what to do. Finally go back to 5" and bite the bullet? But then you guys showed me this thing and I thought why not a split HD cam along with the BF?? Sweeeettt. (I know the cog is gonna suck but you can't have it all lol.) The sliding thing is only for 20x20 stacks... Thanks again guys! I pulled the trigger. Tomoquads dude says its 70mm end to end on the sliding 20x20 mount. That's gonna cut it tight but I gotta try lol. Build log forthcoming! The spacing on the El Camino just wasn't enough for my Byte Frost setup. The dual cam cage is a very cool touch though and the sliding mounting slots really opens things up. But at the end of the day, I just didn't have the room that I did on the Acrobrat which has really become my go to frame now. • Posts: 21,218 Threads: 583 Likes Received: 8,948 in 6,622 posts Likes Given: 1,425 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 786 On a side note, word from JB's live stream last night was that the Acrobrat Duo will be available "very soon" via the Ummagawd website. So no need to buy one of those rip-off FPV Crates any more • Posts: 4,731 Threads: 392 Likes Received: 3,231 in 1,827 posts Likes Given: 3,214 Joined: Apr 2019 Reputation: 101 LOL Ryan from Ummagawd was teasing me with it being released either Thur or Fri last week (I was asking for coupon code for more motors). Still not released ... maybe tryin to milk the last of the Fpv Crates since it looks like they are still not sold out LOL wow. Seen some vids though and not sure it offers much more than the v1 other than some smoother lines. I'm also actually more worried that it has a tighter fit for a dual cam. Anyway now I'm starting to get the itch to get back into 250 class. The last 250 class I built was I think the Red Rotor Strider lol. But I need something that has the same space like the Acrobrat. • |
