Good to see people doing some cool things. I wonder how many takes it too to get this footage.

I wonder how many takes it too to get this footage. https://gizmodo.com/this-drone-in-a-bowl...1846445528 10-Mar-2021, 06:07 PM That's pretty sick. I couldn't even tell where the pilot was. 10-Mar-2021, 06:07 PM Saw it earlier today, very impressive! 10-Mar-2021, 06:56 PM Some people were commenting in JB's livestream that a run like that by a professional pilot would likely take 3-5 test runs, and then a couple of final runs to get a perfect result. Aside from the mind blowing piloting skills, the precision timed choreography of all the people involved must have taken a serious amount of planning. 10-Mar-2021, 08:14 PM Better than all of Nurks content. 10-Mar-2021, 08:25 PM Not to mention the suicidal act at the end. I guess it was a throw away cinewhoop My Facebook Page | My Youtube Channel iFlight Green Hornet 1 | Emax Tinyhawk Freestyle 2 | Emax Tinyhawk 2 ISDT 608 & Balance Board | Eachine EV800D | Taranis Qx7 | TBS Crossfire Mini v2 11-Mar-2021, 12:05 PM the only less perfect bit was the end, i think he was trying to follow the bowling ball but rushed it and fly passed it. 11-Mar-2021, 02:34 PM Re: the ending. Of course this is only speculation... but I think instead of trying to follow the ball to the pins, he was transposing the the quad for the ball, giving the impression that the quad had become the ball and thus, hitting and knocking down the pins. As far as a it being a "throwaway quad"... that is possible, but it is also possible that it was just the cost of "getting the shot" and calculated into the fee for the shoot. You might be surprised at how much is spent on commercials in terms of material(s) that get destroyed and/or rendered useless at the end of a shoot. I remember being on site for a commercial for a beer company that hauled an entire half of a cow to the dump after filming a Bar-B-Q scene. They didn't have the time to actually cook the beef (and cooking gave them less control over the final visual results) so they just painted the carcass to make it look cooked. After being in the sun most of the day and being painted, it was obviously not fit for consumption. Commercial shooting is all about getting exposure. That bowling alley got a bargain no matter what they paid. 11-Mar-2021, 10:45 PM (This post was last modified: 12-Mar-2021, 01:37 AM by hugnosed_bat.) thats a good shot, the only difference between professional and amateur is to receive money or not :-) there are awesome amateur cinematic vids. to get awesome footage, with a lot of complications, alot people are needed, the pilot is just an important part. this is from a professional: how its done: https://www.instagram.com/p/B-rqOQWo7bX/ 12-Mar-2021, 01:32 PM Here's another by the same drone production company... 13-Mar-2021, 07:03 AM That would have been cool if they stitch the end to loop again. 13-Mar-2021, 01:24 PM if posted on instagram it would loop automatic :-) he flies pretty fast for a cineshot 15-Mar-2021, 02:01 AM |
