Carbon Fiber propellers for mini quad
#1
Is carbon fibre propellers better for mini quad? They are stiffer and I thought that's a good property propellers should have, but I don't see many people using them.

Carbon Fiber props are completely wasted on a race/acro quad that is likely to crash. Even if they don't break outright in a crash, it can cause micro fractures in the material, and in the worst case, the prop will blow apart mid-flight. Plastic really hurts, but you definitely don't want to end up with a sharp carbon fiber blade in your face.

I agree 100%  I bought a pair of CF props and they do look really cool, but they are not made for a race/acro quad.  They sit in my drawer and remind me to think of the splinters I have got.  Plus I crash my quad a lot and they are too expensive to replace on the regular basis.  I would much rather cut myself with a plastic prop then a carbon one.
