Can't get started with RaceFlight
#1
I purchased a raceflight v1 and am trying to follow the first install instructions.  There is a windows32 and windows64 version of the raceflight configurator online, but neither of them will run on my Windows 10 64-bit System. I can find the rf_configurator.exe file but when I click on it nothing happens, the program simply does not run. I have tried it in compatibility mode and in admin bode but it doesn't work in those modes either.

I need a configurator that works with 64-bit windows 10 and the appropriate firmware for the raceflight v1.

Any help getting started is appreciated.

I'd really like to help you but since RF1 is still pretty much in beta, you won't find too much users here (not saying there aren't any Wink ).

Have you tried asking on RF Slack?

PickyBiker, Download and install the free VMware player than install Windows 7 as a virtual machine. That should solve your problem. BTW make sure that virtualization is enabled in your BIOS that maybe called VTX if Intel or AMD-V if AMD chip in your BIOS, but most times it will just say virtualization.

If you need some help with that you can message me on Steam my alias is molitar2025 there.

Molitar, Thank you.
I configured a virtual machine with windows 7, managed to get the drivers loaded to get into DFU mode and updated the firmware to 210.

On to the next steps.

Thanks again.

Is that an issue, the developers know of?

Your welcome I have had to use that method for older software myself.

I'm not sure, but it's difficult for me to think they wouldn't know about it. There are tens of millions of folks running windows 10.
