furthermore some adjustments on the cnc table

have moved away from double-sided tape
always had problems that it was sticking to the grinder
experimenting now with soft board and clamps

i would give a lightweight one a try, i beleive it could give probably better performence from low uaw about vibrations, just in the case some would decrease the performence.

what direction of weight will the build have?
edit; you still dont know what weight the build will have or what weight the lipo will add?

yes, the lighter the better Tongue

still have to calculate a little bit what the missing parts weight

251 now

missing parts + - 100
total + - 351

so for a 6 Inch its oke i think

and then make a choice fore a lipo

my last 5 inch build was 335

back from camper trip Cool

 have put everything quickly together

transferred 5 inch settings  to betaflight
when I connect to pc, betaflight opens but it disconnects again after a few seconds
just enough time to download a dump
taranis does connect to reciever and gives a zero volt message
can you view my dump if something can be derived from it?

Thank you in advance

must be due to the bad usb connector of hglrc board
I have had this often with previous constructions
with some fiddeling betaflight remains open
have movement in receiver tab and motor tab
when I disconnect from pc I have no movement in motors but get a beeper alarm

tested today with 6 inch e max props
what power and violence!
after a minute some light smoke and i immediately removed the lipo
on closer inspection the + connection of the pad was blown off / burned off

cleaned up the pads and removed excess solder

as far i can see no further dammage?!
before I try again and solder the pig tail again I ask for ideas how this can happen?
bad solder connection / too much power required by motors / wrong settings in pid's?
suggestions are very welcome

What gauge wire are you using for the LiPo XT60 pigtail soldered to your ESC? From your photo it looks quite thin.

it is a standard xt30 that I have used on all builds up to now, not verry solid indeed
[Image: lSUQJ43l.jpg]
for 5 inch I have no problem so far
6 inch props with 3s 2200 lipo could be too much?!
Will order a xt 60 and try again

Thanks Snow!

The rule of thumb I follow is to use the same gauge wire as fitted to the LiPo itself. You can sometimes go slightly smaller, but if you want to avoid any "bottlenecks" then use the same gauge wire as on the LiPo.

think its a 22 awg wire (3kv-dc 200c vw-1 type tv-3) Cry

the lead of my lipo is 12 awg so a big difference

Yes, 22AWG wire is way too small for a 5" or 6" props. Personally I would use 12AWG wire but some people use the smaller 14AWG wire. I wouldn't use anything smaller than 14AWG.
