The Whoops are my favorite simulator! Have fun flying now that it is airborne. SoCal Kaity :D OMG, no one told me it would be this much fun! Addicted :) 28-Jan-2018, 03:32 PM Yes sir....it was a lol daunting at first......but I don't give up easy.....I think life will be a lot easier with my tarains next time, the rtf transmitter from my inductrix fpv didn't want to play nice.......now that I am on the right track it won't be long before my 2 sons join me at the next level. Thanks for all your help everyone. Can't wait for my x220 and lizard95....(won't be jumping on that lizard for a minute lol)....as a noob it might be a little much....haha 28-Jan-2018, 04:45 PM LOL. I am one of a handful of "non-sirs" here. We love to fly just as much as any of the men-folk though I started with a camera drone and decided I wanted to really learn to fly these aircraft. The E010S was my first manually controlled craft and I finally graduated to a Lizard 95. There is a world of difference between the two. If I might make a suggestion...start flying without AUTO LEVELING modes as quickly as you can. As you get the feel of controlling the Whoop without the assistance (in the end it actually forms bad habits you will have to break later) you will find a point where the Lizard calls to you It probably feels a little like stepping into an complete unknown now, but you will likely progress quickly. As in worse than my yellow fpv inductrix. Where am I screwed up at. All servos are at mid 1500 min 1000 max 2000 . iv recalibrated a ton. Even made a pedastool that's level with a hole in the top for the cable since it comes out the bottom of the quad. (Bad setup) Accelerometer is on. Throttle mid .50 throttle expo 1.00 also have angle on....any thoughts oh when motors spin up motor 1 is in the area of 1660ish motor 2 -1930ish motor 3 (low) 1049 flat motor 4-1570ish.....that don't seem rite at all 28-Jan-2018, 05:39 PM Don't know if this helps but minimum throttle is the lowest ESC value in armed is 1049 maximum throttle IE highest ESC value when armed 2000 and minimum command iesc value when disarmed 1000 28-Jan-2018, 05:43 PM (28-Jan-2018, 04:45 PM)kaitylynn Wrote: LOL. It is a steep learning curve at first, but trust that is settles out. The real rewards come when you help another pilot figure something out! I truly feel like it took seconds to bind and set up my Lizard compared to a few hours it took with the Whoop. The bind sequence alone seemed to take about a half hour to figure...and odes? Rate versus self leveling? Arming??? What the heck!? Yes, a bit to learn...but only once or twice and you will be a pro at making them take off...flying, that is an art The first time I ever flew Lizzie, it arced high over a fence and was nearly eaten by a dog. I was lucky it landed "on its feet" and I was able to reverse the arc and get it back in to my yard. The worst part, we had a group of guest over so it happened in front of a crowd. They laughed...in the end I did too, but that led me to start back with the basics. Just enjoy each step as it is really fun when several steps come together to form a leap! They fly no different with the newer FW, but they also did not have any issues as I started to upgrade them. Also have an X-Racer X1 with 7mm motors. That one is flashed to 3.2.1 for no other reason than I wanted to experiment. SoCal Kaity :D OMG, no one told me it would be this much fun! Windless fields and smokeless builds 29-Jan-2018, 06:00 AM 29-Jan-2018, 06:06 AM yeah those are going to the kids except the iductrixs lol. but i am currently building a work bench area in the basement....thats where the real madness will happen. i have a wizard x220 and a lizerd 95 comming as well as i have a build in mind...(i like to have multiple toys) as well as some aomway comanders chargers batteries patchs antennas props and some more odds and ends....so i better get that bench done e i get soon before i get over run by the hobby lol 29-Jan-2018, 07:29 AM (27-Jan-2018, 05:45 AM)Tom BD Bad Wrote: Have you tried plugging the inductrix into a laptop to check the BetaFlight configuration? I'm sorry Tom I just seen a post from July 2017 about a lot of what I was asking. Being the moon o am it seems I was beating a dead horse lol. But non the less I thank you and ill be sure to make a better search effort next time.....I believe that post may have answered my thrust problem as well . I don't get much at all . the transmitter I am using till my ranger gets here for my trains only travels from low 1165 to a high of 1830 ish it bounces on the betaflight scales.....sounds like it missing a lot of travel.....anyways thanks for ur knowledge that's here on the forum |
