0 I'm troubleshooting a QAV-S setup. It's running BF 4.2.4 on stock PIDs. I'm running 533 rates on all axes (RC 0.80, Rate 0.70, Expo 0.0).
The issue is the pitch axis responds with way higher rate than 533. It feels like 900+ deg/s. Roll and Yaw are normal. What could be going on here?

118 There are no magic rates. Some people fly different rates on each axis.
If the pitch rate is high then you can reduce it further.
Are you flying a Gopro in front?
I assume your transmitter sticks are calibrated and you do not have any curves on that channel. You could also try a new model on your transmitter to see if that helps.

20 I discovered “actual” rates.. it helped me understand how rates effect my 5”… I’m getting more comfortable to where I’m decreasing expo and upping my rotation speed.. and I’m a NOOB!!

0 Recalibrating the accelerometer has resolved the issue for me.
