Hello Guys,

I am totally new to fpv and betaflight and was wondering if you could give me some direction :
I bought the GEPRC TERN LR 40 with BF 4.5 and geprc osd
(just to add: I was flying helicopters for 3 years so I know a lot of basics of rc flight)

1.) --- is there a good beginner guide for the main functions ? ---
(easy, not to complicated and complex) (what you need to know, what is great, what wont work, what never to do)
I already read that it can lead to desaster to use gps rescue, or to update a bnf quad to a new firmware
I would love to not make fatal mistakes in the first months)
 
-For example I read that it can be a problem to update bnf quads, in some cases they wont work and you need  to flash the original firmware back.
-And I have seen some bad gps rescue vids, I am wondering if this feature should be used at all when it is not reliable.
 
2.) --- Modes ---
angle and horizon mode
I already read a bit about these. Are there any other modes you need to know about ?
How do you guys program a „safe“ mode to help in case you are getting into trouble
due to human error, or maybe external influences like wind etc. ?
 
3.) --- BF vs I NAV ---
I already watched some Videos and read some stuff and it seems to me that INAV would be a option for
combining great flight with less options to customize but with more safety and gps features missing in BF.

I would really love to have a good RTH with or without landing, or a hover mode just for security and comfort.
The possibility to flick a switch and safe my drone in case of a flight error.
(I never used these, but I love the videos on dji drones, how good these functions work and safe beginners)

I am sure gonna learn some acrobatics but mainly I just wanna fly explore and do maybe a bit of lr flights (next 12 months)

4.) --- Features ---
Which features are usable and one should know about ?
 
 
So thats it for the moment, I am truly greatful for all help, tipps and tricks and looking forward to be part of this community and
start my fpv journey hopefully this weekend (if I am lucky and parcel delivery works ?)
