A2212 13t attaching to frame
#1
Hello

What are the basic tools and supplies I need to attach A2212 13t motor to a frame. I have the screws that attach to a motor mount. Would those same screws be able to connect the motor to the frame. The only supplies I have so far is the default motor mount that comes with the motor and screws to attach it and the motor. Do I need anything else to attach the motor to a frame. I would appreciate any help.

Thanks

It will depend on the thickness of the arm on the frame you have. You will need some M3 button head hex screws that will be long enough to go through the frame, plus 1-2mm extra to go into the bottom of the motor. You need to be careful not to use a screw that is too long otherwise it will touch the windings and create a short between the frame and the winding.

Take a look at the following links for the type of screws you need...

I would advise getting carbon steel or stainless steel ones because they're stronger. The coloured (anodised) aluminium ones might snap off in a crash.
