So, each arm is 5mm thick and they weigh:

That would make sense. For comparison - ZMR250 and Demon Ghost arms weigh around 10g, which makes around 12g difference in AUW.

Over the weekend I will probably tape one of the arms to the thrust stand to check the "thrust" difference measured. Because science Big Grin

does it really weigh only 115grams? seems like it should weigh much more!

that things looks amazing, I guess its a little heavy, would love to know how the strength compares to carbon in the real world.. looks super strong though

Yep!

Aluminium isn't that heavy compared to carbon fibre composite.

That's the thing. Because metal has the same strength in any direction, you don't have to add metal to increase strength like you have to with carbon fibre.

Anyway, my motors and 4-in-1 ESC arrived a couple of days ago, so I might start a build (and thread) for this at the weekend. Or maybe it'll have to wait a while as there's a threat that the daytime temperatures here might be over 20C this weekend and that might tempt me to go flying instead of sitting inside building. Smile
