2 14-Jan-2021, 03:54 AM (This post was last modified: 14-Jan-2021, 03:55 AM by luispequeno.) I have just recently put this quad together. The other day I took it for the first flight and it flipped on me right off the bat. I turned it off and back on... and it flew maybe 50yards before it died on me again. I then figured my antenna to my tx was faulty. I went back and changed the antenna for a brand new one.
I went to fly it today and it rolls right off the get go. I have a new iflight succex-e 45a stack, crossfire nano w/antenna on zip ties.
I have re-flashed iflight stack w/latest version of firmware from betaflight.
What is wrong w/my quad or how do I begin troubleshooting this?
Here is the latest video...
At 0:44 you can see it roll over.
I have since then checked the direction of the props and they are all in the correct direction...

101 That looks more like a desync issue with your ESCs. This would have nothing to do with your radio link or your FC firmware. Does BLHeli configurator show them all as good to go? Might also want to check your soldering from the motors to the ESC as well as post some pics.

93 14-Jan-2021, 04:06 AM (This post was last modified: 14-Jan-2021, 04:08 AM by V-22.) Is the gyro orientation set properly and calibrated? If you go to the setup tab in Betaflight, does the drone move correctly when you tilt it forward and back, left and right?
What PIDs are you using?
Edit: I missed that you successfully flew it 50 yards. It does sound like a problem with the ESCs then.

101 Ok then carefully check that ESC cable harness as well as the connectors on the ESC and PCB. These things are notorious for having a bad connection. In addition to these sorts of desyncs, I'll also get an RPM Filter error preventing me from arming. In my experience both issues were fixed by re-seating harness and making sure nothing is moving it around.

7 I had a similar issue and it was the gyro position. I had the flight controller flipped around backwards. You can configure it in betaflight as V-22 says but i just turned mine around to the correct orientation and the problem was gone.

2 15-Jan-2021, 03:15 AM (This post was last modified: 15-Jan-2021, 03:15 AM by luispequeno.) i flew this drone today and I felt like I was dealing with a fail safe issue... at one point it was flying fine, but i was super easy on the throttle... then when i went to do my first roll, i blipped the throttle and then it died on me.
i feel like i'm dealing with the following:
1) throttle isnt calibrated somewhere
2) fail safe
3) connection between the 4-in-1 esc and FC
