100% RPM Errors in the motor tab with Bidirectional DSHOT
#1
I’m trying to use Bidirectional DSHOT, and all my motors are reporting 100% rpm errors in the motor tab.

I’ve built a 3” using the IFlight SucceX-D Mini F7 TwinG Stack (Mini F7+40A ESC). I’ve updated the ESC TO BLHeli 32.8. I’m using BetaFlight 4.2.8.

The ESC Specs are as follows

ESC // SucceX 40A
* MCU: STM32F051K66
* Up tp 48kHz PWM frequency
* Capacity: 470uF/50V
* Current Sensor: Yes
* Input: recommended 2-6S
* Constant: 40A / Burst: 50A
* BlHeli32 telemetry: Yes
* Supports up to Dshot1200, Proshot, Oneshot, Multishot
* Target: iFlight-BL32-4IN1
* Weight: 7.2g
* Mounting pattern: 20*20mm φ3mm with Grommets φ2mm
* Dimensions: 31*31mm (including the power pads)

The motors that I’m using are the Karearea TAO TOA 1507 LITE 4200KV 2-4S.

I tried it with both 4 and 8 kHz loop frequencies and lowered the ESC Motor protocol from 600DSHOT to 300DSHOT and no luck.

Not sure why this is happening. I’m a big of a loss. Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

I assume you have powered up your ESC or in other words connected a lipo?

Are you able to run the motors via the Betaflight> motors tab? (Please with props removed).

Do your motors run with bidirectional turn?

One more thing to add. I assume that you've counted the magnets on the inside of the motor bell and have set the value for those accordingly in Betaflight (?)
