Liftoff - Random drift issue on Windows
#1
So I have Liftoff and decided to install it on Windows since that is the system that i have my RTX 2080 Ti installed in.  So installed it, setup exactly the same way as I set it up on my Linux system.  But a random problem seems to occur on Windows.  When I try to fly my quad it basically flips over when i apply throttle, like the roll stick is pushed over.  I checked it in the Controller>Fine Tune and it says all sticks are centred.  I am using a Radiomaster T8 Lite as my controller.  If I plug the same radio into Linux and play Liftoff I have no issue. I'm at a bit of a loss.

The easiest way to articulate it, is when you setup a quad and the motor map is wrong or the control map is wrong and it takes off and just flips over.  It feels a lot like that.  But this is Liftoff, not a real life quad.

Saying that i love Hangar and Pit when i get to play it on Linux.  I installed it on Windows so i could play the Duga level, which won't load on Linux (old cpu/gfx card).

And with other quads?

I have always found Liftoff's controller calibration somewhat awkward to use, obstructive, and prone to error. (I have only used it on Windows 7 and 10)

Suggest you do a Steam verify on the files, revert to factory standard, and try again.

This was a brand new install. I can reverify for nothing. But I literally installed the game, did the setup and loaded the map.

It might be the map/level. On Linux it throws up all sorts of errors in the logs about missing textures and objects then hard locks the machine, which i assumed to be due to the underpowered A8-9600 cpu or the GTX 1050 Ti. On Windows it loads but the quad control is glitchy. I will test it later on.
