11 My mobula 7 hdzero is out of commission while I wait on a new frame. I want to wire this vifly mini beeper to the fc while I wait. I found the buzz+ and buzz- pads (for the red and yellow wires respectively).
My main question is; do I wire the black ground wire to any ground pad on the fc? There are literally 5 of them.
Let me know if any of what I just said sounds incorrect, and where to solder that black wire.
Also, functionally, will the beeper only sound when I flip the proper mode switch? That is my hope as I don't want it firing off ear-splitting beeps every time I power up.
Thanks all!

121 08-Oct-2023, 12:09 AM (This post was last modified: 08-Oct-2023, 12:13 AM by Lemonyleprosy.) Any ground pad will do.
The wire inline with the “5v” silk screen on the plug can go to any 5v pad, and the buz+ should be one.
You might be able to make the beeper beep only when you toggle your switch via the beeper configuration section of the bf configuration tab.
All of my finders are set to beep anytime a thing triggers a beep- rx loss, on plug-in, etc- because I want to be able to find it even if I lose rc link.
Dangerous operations.
Disclaimer: I don’t know wtf I’m talking about.
I wish I could get the smell of burnt electronics out of my nose.

57 If it has a battery on it, it will also beep after you disconnect the main lipo after a short time. If it is the Vifly2 I think there is also a light sensor so the behavior maybe a little different and better to check their manual.

11 It's the mini. I'll probably wire it up tomorrow.
I'm a bit sensitive to noise, we'll see if finding it easily when it's lost is worth the headache of noise when I don't need it.

0 Red = any 5v or buzz+
Black = any negative pad
Yellow = buzz-

11 Thanks all. You've removed the doubt from my mind, now I just need to remove the tremor from my hands so I can solder these tiny pads

57 These things are loud, if you are sensitive to noise you might want to turn OFF many of the Betaflight beeper settings (ready, arming, battery low, etc). Not sure if the Vifly has two different volume levels, softer for normal buzzer and louder for lost alarm?

11 Got it wired up this morning but the whole drone is still disassembled and I haven't plugged it in yet. Will have to fool with betaflight a bit. I think my preference would be for it to only fire when my mode switch is flipped, rx lost, or power loss without first pressing the button. Not sure that's possible, but we'll see

11 All working as it should and ready for its next bando ride. I was able to disable many of the unnecessary beeps in BF, and have it set to rapid beep if I flip my switch. Should be mighty handy at times. Thanks again for the help!

11 11-Oct-2023, 01:42 PM (This post was last modified: 11-Oct-2023, 01:43 PM by FPVme.) I flew at a big bando yesterday and the beeper saved me a lot of time and anxiety. I will definitely install them on future quads.
