Why cant baby nazgul and taranis XQ9 lite bind
#1
Hi
recently i post a thread similar to this one
i have an iFlight baby nazgul and a Taranis QX9 lite.
The nazgul's receiver is a D8 one.
I tryed to bind  it by pressing the button, by typing bind_rx in betaflight's CLI and i even bought an external module, the R9m one: didnt work either.
my guess is that im missing something because im new in this hobby but its a frustrating experience since i 've got everything (batteries, drone , goggles etc...) already bought and I cant solve this problem.

thanks

There is no QX9 Lite transmitter. Do you mean an X9 Lite, or an X-Lite? If so, which one?

The FrSky X9 Lite only supports the ACCESS and ACCST D16 mode protocols. If you want to bind it with a D8 receiver you will need to get an external multiprotocol module.

EDIT: There are only 3 multiprotocol modules currently on the market that are compatible with the X9 Lite:-
  1. iRangeX IRX4 Lite
  2. TBS MPM
  3. Vantac MPM Lite

so the XJT module I bought is not compatible?

If i buy one of those modules, what i should do is connect it and set in the menu -> profile -> setup -> external RF and then set it to D8 and its done?
well i guess theres videos about how to use it.
should i buy one? do you think I could bind it with these modules?
thanks

What XJT module do you have? You mentioned an R9M module in your first post which isn't compatible. I didn't see anything about an XJT module in any of your posts. If you have the XJT Lite module then yes, that will work. I don't normally recommend that one because it only supports FrSky protocols and is just as expensive as the 3 multiprotocol module options that also support a whole load of other protocols.

Well, the module i bought was this one: https://iha-race.com/producto/modulo-tra...-xjt-lite/
the one i got looks exactly the same but has printed in it R9M.
May they have mistaken the product at the moment of sending it to me?

An XJT module is a 2.4GHz ACCST D8 / D16 protocol module. An R9M module is for FrSky's 900MHz R9 protocol long range system. You can't use a 900MHz R9M module to bind to a 2.4GHz ACCST receiver. They are two completely different systems, so what you have is no use for the 2.4GHz ACCST D8 receiver in your Baby Nazgul.
