Which is damaged, ESC, FC or both ?
#1
Hi,

I recently disassembled my quad (Flywoo Explorer LR) and I think I messed up upon reassembly. I forgot about the pins connecting the FC to the ESC (see here: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0010/7...1575564338) and I think there were plugged in incorrectly.

I didn't get any warning from my multimeter or smoke stopper, so I proceeded to plug in a battery.
I think I heard a slight sparking noise, as well as a continuous silent "hissing" of sorts while the battery is plugged in.

When I plug the battery in, I get the first three short (doo doo doot) sounds, but not the last two longer sounds.
I have since plugged in the FC correctly, and now the buzzer, receiver and VTX are getting power, but the FC doesn't seem to be talking to the ESC.
The FC also isn't detected by Betaflight anymore when I plug it in.

How can I know which parts are damaged? I don't know if it's my FC, ESC or both or if any other parts are affected.

Would appreciate it if someone could help me out.

Thanks!

Nope, can't connect it and the LEDs on the FC don't light up either. The peripherals connected to the FC still get power, but yeah, the FC itself seems dead.
Do you think the ESC is fine if I still get the first three sounds when I plug it in? Is there a way I can verify it still works?

fully work checkup can only be done with another fc, i guess you got a high chance its still working

there might be two 5v circuit and the one powers the chip on the fc seems burned out
