Where is the Front of a Drone
#1
Hello all. I have a Mobula 7. When in BFC in the Configuration Tab the Drone should face North according to the green arrow on the 3D Drone.  My question where is North on my Mobula 7?  Thanks for your time.

Without a compass your quad has no knowledge of North, South, East, and West. The image in the Setup tab in Betaflight Configurator is just an indication of the number of degrees from the starting reference point it is facing. The reference point is set when the FC is booted up as you plug in a LiPo of USB cable. The quad doesn't need to know what direction it is actually facing. That is your job when flying it. The gyro just needs to be able to track the quad's 360 degree yaw rotation position from the original reference point (which was set / memorised when the FC was booted up).

If you need to reset the reference point after your quad is plugged in then sit your quad on your desk and point the front of your quad towards your computer screen. Then click on the "Reset Z axis" button in the Setup tab. Doing that doesn't configure anything on the FC. It simply resets the reference image on the screen to face forward so it is the same as the physical orientation of the quad that is on your desk.

So that I understand this. When in BFC Setup Tab the Green arrow points in a diff direction than my quad. I point the Quad with the Camera facing away from me but the Green arrow on the 3d model faces to the right instead of camera direction. Is this then OK?

Rotate the FC in BF if the axis are off. I think it's under configuration. I once had to do it on Quicksilver, but the options are more straightforward on that than BF. Someone else will probably know.

Like I said in post #2, point the front of your quad towards your computer screen and press the "Reset Z axis" button on the top right of the Setup tab.
