When Flying straight ahead, the left side dips...
#1
My Build so far - Kopis Mini 3 - DJI version

My repairs so far - My quad was flying erratic and i noticed that one of the capacitor legs broke off so i bought a new one and replaced it but then noticed that one of my motors was actually not spinning as fast and making noises that the other three were not so I bought four new motors because getting one from China would take FOREVER and I wanted to change the props from to the more traditional center bolt on ones rather than the ones that have two screws one them, anyways, after replacing the motors my quad flew great everyday for about a week. yesterday when I went to fly my quad would not power on and i noticed the power lead had broken off from the connector so I soldered on a new one. Today I go out to fly and the quad hovers great, but when i go forward the left side dips down and I have to give a constant right stick, right wing down input just to fly level. So I turned my quad around and came back.

Could this have anything to do with my first problem of erratic flying? Could I have a bad ESC that is burning out a motor? How do I test?

Thanks as always

Don

Upon further inspection, I now notice that the top left arm of the quad has a split in it and flexes up and down where as the other arms are more solid, I must have crashed a little harder than I thought. Could that cause this problem???

That is most likely the problem.

Can I fix it?? Or order one from China and wait?

I fixed it by using epoxy cement and an arm off of a broken quad. I used a little piece of the arm like a splint and glued it with the epoxy. the glued arm now flexes less than the other three. It flies great again :-)
