Hi all,

setting a fixed wing with a blheli-32 esc (succex x80a). What's the best fw or option set to begin with? motor is a an inrunner with gearbox and folding prop. Actually i would not let prop fold, but instead i want to let it spin so it can be used as airbrake. My fear is about returning current which can fry ESC, so any advice is welccome

I think the only firmware for wings is iNav.  Can't help you with your other questions.

Thanks Vodoo. My concern is about if there's a proper version of blheli for fixed wing, like there's one for traditional helicopter. Other than disabling brake, i need also a number of other options, like a smooth throttle curve, not the steeper one of multi's

Throttle curve would be setup in the radio if you do not use a FC. If you have a FC for your wing, then you can setup in the flight controller software (iNav).
