It's probably more likely that when the Funfly range was first released last year that there was some kind of manufacturing issue and some of the testers ended up with duds. I'm fairly sure all those issues are probably now ironed out. Tattu is a respected LiPo manufacturer so if the original issues were still continuing to happen it would damage their reputation.

That said, with the R-Line's that Voodoo posted a link to costing only $23, I would be very tempted to go with those instead, even if they are only the 1.0 versions.
