What happened to FPV 3.3Ghz.. 1.3Ghz

Is FPV doomed to be stuck in 5.8Ghz forever?
Maybe make room at 5.6Ghz?

I think most of this is dictated by legal frequencies pilots can fly around the world and bandwidth to carry more data.

1.3GHz is fairly close to GPS transmitting frequency.

2.4GHz is very polluted by wifi/bluetooth signals.

5.8GHz has more bandwidth but less penetration compared to 2.4GHz which has more bandwidth but less penetration compared to 1.3.

Antenna sizes on 1.3GHz are also fairly large compared to 5.8GHz.

I think TBS and Matek still sell 1.3GHz gear.
