Recommended is 4S 1300-2200mah.

Be aware of the SIZE of the battery, not just capacity.   In the 1500-1800 range you can get plane proportion long/thin and quad proportion short/fat.

What do you have now?

What is the max size that fits?

I read reports that the std set up is underpowered.  Too much battery weight will kill its performance.

I don't have any battery yet, it is my first wing (flying fpv only so farWink) There is plenty of space, but the height better not be more than 35mm.

I was even thinking about two batteries in parallel because it might be even easier with CG.

This plane is super easy to make nose heavy. That said, with a runcam thumb in a custom 3d printed nose, I ran a 4S 2200mah lipo no problems. I have also jammed a 4s2p pack in there back into the little tunnel that goes between the front and rear compartment with no issues after a little surgery. My favorite pack is a 4s1p molicel p42 pack. 4200mah, slightly heavier than the 2200 pack, and still provides enough current for anything. You can also fly about an hour on it if you are not going fast. But I like to fly fast so that never happens.

Good news is you can go pretty much as small as you want. So if you have 1500 packs hanging out and don't want to buy anything new, you can. There is plenty of room to move things forward.
