Vista FFC Hack, can’t access drive on PC.
#1
I’ve owned a few dji vistas and air units in the past, and usually applied the FFC hack to get 8 channels, etc, and this has always worked perfectly.
Recently though I’m have trouble accessing the vistas on board storage when plugged into my PC, everything’s powered on and ready, but only two ‘grayed out’ drives appear, which I don’t have access too. So can’t copy the text document over to apply the hack. I thought this might be a Windows 10 issues, but having the same issue with windows 7. Any ideas what this could been, Or other ways to apply the hack?

Is it just one Vista you're having trouble with, or all of them now?

It’s just the vista. Air Units fine

Try (re)flashing the V01.00.06.06 firmware to the Vista using the DJI Assistant 2 (FPV series) software in case your problem is caused by corrupt firmware. Then try again to see if that solves your issue.

I stumbled upon this issue myself and thought my Vista was dead but got it working. From my understanding the vista's internal drive only pops up in Windows when you have your goggles turned and connected to the Vista.

Can you give that a try and see if that works?

Yes, you're correct. You need the goggles powered on and connected to the Vista / Air Unit Lite for the internal drive to show up. I just made an (incorrect) assumption that the OP would have the goggles switched on and connected to the Vista as per all the tutorials out there that tell you how to apply the FCC hack. So the firmware likely doesn't need to be re-flashed at all.

Thank you all the replies, much appreciated.
Shame these systems aren’t unlocked by default, be much easier!

They are locked to meet regulations and beyond that the onus is on the user unlocking it.
