Let me preface this by saying I am completely new to this. I’ve done some research and I know a little, but I still have a long way to go. I just bought the betaFPV beginner starter kit, and I’m having an issue with the video. The drone is a betafpv 65 lite, the transmitter is a lite radio 2, and the goggles are the vr01 goggles. I’m pretty sure on the right channel and everything works fine while the drone is disarmed. Clear video, works perfectly. As soon as I arm a bunch of diagonal lines come across the screen, and increasing throttle worsens this. Eventually the video feed disconnects, and when I disarm it doesn’t come back. I don’t know if this is a problem with the vtx or the goggles or something else. Could I just be on the wrong channel? Nothing I’ve tried has fixed the problem, so any help would be greatly appreciated! Here is the link to the video. The forum wouldn't let me embed the video for some reason.

Wow At first it sounded like a clear case of needing a capacitor...... Then I watched the video ;O Do you have the antenna attached? This is wishful thinking but if you don't that might be your only problem. I suspect though, that you have a bad solder joint somewhere.... or if that drone come with a capacitor then it's not on correctly.... There could be any number of issues here. Another thing I just thought of that may be wishful thinking is that you're not set on the correct channel. Don't use the auto search function on your goggles. Make sure you know what channel your VTX is on, and place that channel manually on your goggles... It is important that you KNOW 100% that you're on the exact same channels. If it's not one of these issues then I fear the issue is gonna be slightly more complicated than you may wanna get into for your first starter kit. If it's not one of these things and someone else doesn't point out another simple answer I haven't thought of, then you may wana just try and get a replacement. Edit: of course the people here are always willing to help no matter how difficult the probelm you have may be, and you will eventually wanna learn this stuff anyway if you proceed in the hobby..... so. 'Ignore' is the route word of Ignorant. 27-Oct-2020, 10:40 AM The reason to buy a beginner kit is so it "just works" out of the box. You shouldn't be needing to troubleshoot issues like this on a brand new product. So if you followed tha manual to the letter and haven't messed with anything from a hardware or firmware perspective then this can only be a hardware fault or a QC issue with how someone has soldered it together at the factory, which is generally done by hand. To avoid you wasting any more of your time, I would just contact the vendor and request a replacement under warranty. |
