Using SD card in DJI air unit for blackbox recording
#1
Flying a Transtec Beetle 2.5 HOM with DJI air unit. Fab little machine but want to improve the tuning further and want to get blackbox data. My FC has the new F405AOI HD which does not have any on board flash memory. I am using FrSky R-XSR for the receiver rather than the DJI air unit which means the RX and TX from the air unit normally reserved for the reciever are not being used.

As one of the RX/TX lines to the Air unit is not being used, (the one normally used if the Air unit was acting as a receiver) I wondered whether it was possible to connect to another UART to save blackbox data via a serial port to the SD card in the flight controller.

Has anyone tried to do this - I am struggling.

I know the other option is to get a separate logging device, but this would be so much cleaner....

Cheers

I don't think this is possible. I've never heard of anyone doing this, and doubt DJI would go to the effort of supporting this functionality.

I didn't realise you'd posted two topics with the same question in. It's bad forum etiquette to post two topics with the same question in. I answered in your other thread at the link below.

The short answer is no, it's not possible.

SnowLeopard - apologies - as you can see I am new - will not post twice next time!!!! I was concerned I put it in the wrong area in the original post....

Thanks for your help though - much appreciated.
