Hi all,
I’m new to fpv drones and have build the cheap old tyro79 (seems to be the go to for beginner builders)

The issue among many I’ve had and managed to figure out is that once I arm the drone it spins up to full throttle and I have no throttle control what so ever and the whole thing heats up, the boards, the motors everything

I’m running
xm+
Matek boards
Taranis x9 lite
4s tattu 650mah
I’ve
Updated firmware both transmitter and receiver
Updated through beta flight the FC
Made sure the rotors are going the right way

I’m stumped on this one

Is it doing this with props off on the bench? If so then it's normal and the following video explains why it happens...

Yeah I’m being a right noob

I will try the hover test when it stops raining which could be days being in the uk

I will add it does the same thing with the props on but I’ll do another test

tried a test and it does the same thing, the boards and things get really hot too, once ive tried a couple of times it constantly beeps and does nothing after

i will also say it will not connect to betaflight unless the battery is connected as well which is odd

Sorted the dodgy erratic behaviour now the quad just wants to full throttle even with the slightest of touches and if it his max throttle it cuts off, any ideas? Possible PID setting ?

this sounds like you fried something or do you probably get a short somewhere?
i would check all connections, post a picture for a double check

can you you post a dvr and a video?
