Tx16s-Hall No USB - FIXED
#1
Update: Problem solved it seems one of the pins on the main board had been bent where the usb connects
so a pair of tweezers and 10 mins later and everything's fine thanks for all your help people.

Hi I've just purchased a new radiomaster tx16s-hall and while trying to update it have ran into problems.
The controller doesn't recognise when its plugged into anything.
The USB mode is set to ask.
When plugged into a pc or my ps4/5 it doesn't even register nothing new is added to device manager.
When plugged in not even a sound is made to say somethings been attached also in bootloader mode it will not recognise USB. Starting to think the USB module is dead on arrival.

All and any advice is much appreciated.

Have you tried the Zadig driver to install the STM 32 bootloader drivers?

Download link is https://zadig.akeo.ie/

Have you tried using another usb cable? Not all usb cables are data cables? Have you tried another usb port on your computer? Do you have any other usb devices connected that may be causing conflicts? Do you have access to another computer?

A working usb is handy for use with the OpenTX companion. Firmware updates can still be done via sdcard.

One other thing, just to make sure: There are two USB connectors on the TX16S – top USB is for data and simulator, the bottom USB is for charging. Are you using the correct usb port?

Thanks for replying i tried four separate usb leads 5 if you include the one that came with it and ive tried it on two pc's.
I've been using the top port to connect but nothing, even putting it into bootloader mode it will not recognise usb. Only thing i can think off is to flash through the sd card and see if that makes a difference just need to borrow an adapter for the pc to do that.

Just to add i checked all the usb leads with other devices and they worked perfectly.

I received a TX16S with a bad USB port. I contacted the vendor and they sent me a replacement board that solved the issue. Replacement was straightforward, I think 2 screws and 3 connectors. Good luck!

Thanks for replying that's good to know, I'm waiting on the vendor getting back to me.
