0 Hello, I have been flying with my TX16S for a month now. A week ago I decided to switch the power on the crossfire from 25mW to 500mW and disable Dynamic power. When I did so, my gimbal values (the numbers that indicate at which position my stick is) started twitching between 0 and -4. So to test my theory I set it to 1W, and they started twitching between 0 and -6. Switched back to 25mW, all normal. Is this normal? If not, is it a problem with my specific remote or is it global. Also if you would happen to know if this issue would be hardware wise or software wise. Thank you in advance.

118 I assume you have already run stick calibration on the radio?
I think most FPV pilots don't worry much about the jitter on the sticks since its not like we need a whole lot of precision when flying.
All the stuff we use on our quads are noisy both EMF and RF sense. This is simply due to the compromises we have to make in making the components smaller, lighter and closely spaced.

0 I have done calibration multiple times. I guess I could set a deadband of some sort in Betaflight or so. The thing is I fly commercially for video production. So it would be ideal to have the full stick movement. I was thinking, would the problem be solved using a stronger battery of some sort?

796 Are you running OpenTX or EdgeTX on your TX16S?

0 I am using OpenTX, do you think using EdgeTX would help my situation?

796 Just to be clear, are you seeing the jitters in the Receiver tab of Betaflight Configurator or in the Channel Monitor page on the transmitter?
Betaflight has filtering for RC inputs which is switched on by default so that should eliminate the small amount of jitter that comes from the transmitter unless you have switched that filtering off.
The reason I was asking about OpenTX or EdgeTX is because OpenTX has has a global transmitter level ADC filtering option which if switched off will cause jitters to be shown on the Channel Monitor page. But when the stick values reach Betaflight, any jitters should be get filtered out by Betaflight's own RC filtering.

0 I will have to take a look into Betaflight. The jitters are seen on the monitors page on the TX16S. Also I tried both ADC on and off, no change.

0 Hey, I just got home and checked it on Betaflight, there are significant jumps, as to where in the bottom right, you have the drone movement visualisation, and with the jitters, the drone does a 360° yaw spin in around 10 seconds. Also, the jitters only happen on my left stick (Mode 2) throttle and yaw. This may be unrelated, but when I grip the radio at 1W with my hands, it starts quietly buzzing. Maybe because I am grounded to the ground with no shoes? I thought the whole problem may be solved with a stronger or bigger battery of some sort?

0 So I finally found this exact issue, fixed for someone else. As the crossfire produced more power there was some interference, so they just taped the whole inside back with copper tape, and the interference stopped, they also connected the copper to battery ground. I guess I will try the same thing. Thanks for the help!
