Tried flying with a 45 degree cam angle today ...
#1
After over a year at a 35 degree angle, I bumped it up to 45 degrees, and tried it out - It really didn't end well for me, thinking I may stick with 35 degrees for a little while longer!

I like 45 degrees on my faster builds but landing is what I hate not being able to guess altitude unless I land facing my self.

35 is ok but with high throttle I tend to be looking more towards the ground while flying.

Most freestyle pilots prefer lower camera angles since they are focused on tricks rather than speed.

High camera angles are for racers who need that angle for the speed and flight authority required when hitting gates that are milliseconds apart. You don't usually get any real benefit out of a high camera angle when doing freestyle IMO and I think it can just make things worse from both a piloting and video footage perspective.

I fly with a camera angle set at 25-30 degrees. Anything over 35 degrees for freestyle is too much IMO. I'm not sure if he still does it, but Cricket always used to fly freestyle with his camera angle set at ZERO degrees.
