throttle question: (assign to switch) ?
#16
Nice hover control BTW Smile

Other than looking through the Betaflight settings, the way to tell if you're in RATE (ACRO) or ANGLE (LEVEL) mode is as follows:-

Hover the quad and move the right stick to the left, then let go of the stick so it springs back to the centre position. If the quad comes back to a level upright position on it's own then you are in ANGLE mode. If the quad continues going left you are in RATE mode.

RATE and ACRO mode is the same thing. Different people just call that mode by one of two different names Smile Then within RATE/ACRO mode you have the ability to turn on AIR mode which prevents the props from completely stalling and the quad dropping from the sky when you reduce the throttle to zero during some acro manoeuvres.

The same with ANGLE mode. That mode is sometimes also referred to as AUTO LEVEL mode. Within ANGLE mode you also have the ability to turn on HORIZON mode. HORIZON mode is a sub-mode of ANGLE mode and allows you to initiate automatic (poor man's) flips while you are in an auto levelling mode.

hey i just came inside from flying.. just kinda went for a walk while the drone in front of me..kinda relaxing doing that lol but anyway, i actvated "angle mode" and when i DID, it lost ALL control of the roll and pitch stick (left stick) for some reason.. hmmm so i immediately switched it off..(i assigned it to aux 3) and then i tried horizon mode and i didnt really see ANY difference in rate/acro mode that i was already in.. hmm i wonder why i lost all communication with the roll pitch stick when i turned on angle mode ? all i could do whiule in angle mode was yaw and throttle.. hmm that was a little strange.. is it supposed to do that ? i was just curious to see what it felt like to fly in angle mode... thanks :0)
