Thermal gun
#1
Hello ??

I'm going to buy a thermal gun, I saw that branded model

https://www.amazon.it/dp/B004XZFZL2/ref=...UTF8&psc=1

Temperature go from 400 to 600 degrees, that can work fine or is too much even at minimum temperature for its use with drones?

And maybe would be more adviced a product like that :

That first heat gun you linked to is for home DIY and not for use with electronics. What is your intended use for it?

The second one is generally used for art and craft work (my wife has one which looks identical) but it can be used for tubing if need be. Just be aware that it's not temperature adjustable so you get 200°C whether you want a temperature that hot or not. I use a hot air rework station for heatshrink tubing and I set the hot air to 100°C for that purpose which is more than hot enough to cause the tubing to shrink.

above i was asking if that :
https://www.amazon.it/dp/B004XZFZL2/ref=...=UTF8&th=1

can be fine to heatup the heat shrink tubing, but it appears to be excessive, because minimum is 400°

I use one like this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/40005252...4c4dStUyaD

Does the job for heat shrinks and even SMD soldering/repairs/rework. It has a few nozzles, temperature control and does what I need it to do.

I have a large heat gun for other heavy duty stuff that has nothing to do with quads.
