TBS Tango 2 bound to Crossfire. But will not arm
#1
Hi there,
I am pretty new to fpv and up until now I have only had RTF kits like the betafpv cetus and the TinyHawk 2.
So now I purchased the Cinelog 25 with the Cadxx Polar and crossfire receiver with a TBS Tango 2 transmitter.
I have bound both the transmitter and the goggles successfully, but now I can’t figure out how to actually arm it and fly.
Am I missing some obvious step?

UPDATE: I have got everything pretty much working correctly aside from one remaining issue.
The DJI goggles seem to have very short range and it says “Low Power mode”. The battery for the goggles is fully charged. Any suggestions?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Have you set up an arm mode in Betaflight Configurator?

As SnowLeopard said you need to set up an arm switch. Connect the quad to BetaFlight, and click on the MODEs tab. Then at the top of the list should be "ARM", click on ADD RANGE. Then hit the button on Tango2 that you want to use as arm switch. I use front left toggle button above throttle.

Then when you hit button you will see the little yellow dot move. Drag the ends of the yellow bar above the dot, so that when you have the arm switch pushed, the yellow bar covers the spot where the dot is.

You can also look up videos on YouTube about "BetaFlight setup" which will explain much better than I do. Wink

If you have already done all of this, check to see if you have any arming flags. It should say on the right hand side of the first page in BetaFlight(SETUP tab). Something like "Arming Disable Flags: ..."
Or go into the CLI and type "status" and at the bottom it will tell you any arming disable flags. (an arming disable flag is when betaflight won't let you arm because it sees something is wrong, the arming disable flag will tell you specifically what the issue is that is stopping it from arming)

THANKS SO MUCH GUYS!
Lol I would have never figured that out on my own!

The only problem with it was that I needed to assign an Arm button on the transmitter.
