11 I put in a 2S LiPo pack fully charged and balanced from an external charger and my transmitter usb charger doesn’t seem to be working.
The LiPo are old but they charge through external charger so they should through taranis.
I’m using a 10watt 5volt power supply or iPad wall charger so current and voltage specs are as instructed.
Is there any way to test internal charger in taranis or maybe a firmware setting?
I figured there would be a screen appear on taranis showing charging status but I only see blue led on power button light up when plugged in.

11 26-Jun-2020, 03:43 PM (This post was last modified: 26-Jun-2020, 03:59 PM by Rob3ddd.) I measured the voltage coming out of LiPo,receiver plug, while the balance plug is plugged into taranis and taranis is being charged.
I reread directions and it says >2 amps 5volts so I’m using a 12watt 5volt power supply.
I was expecting 7.6-8.2 volts but it only read 5.0-5.4 and if I remove usb plug my LiPo reads 4.8 on transmitter.
I did calibrate battery meter on Taranis.A LiPo from external charger reads 8.4 when put in Taranis.

388 Not sure you still have a problem? Charging through USB is slow. Usually just an led lights up. When the charging is done, the led will turn off. Nothing will come up on the screen.

11 I hope so.
The transmitter never got the 2S pack over 4.0 volts after 6 hours of charging.
My voltmeter reads 4.0 plugged into deans connector while charging through internal charger.
I put a brand new LiPo in it to rule out other having a weak cell but the old battery charges using an external charger and balances too.

11 It doesn’t say what the charge rate is in directions just that if a green light is on its charging,if it’s off charge done and if it’s flashing charge fault.
I guess they mean blue for green because my led is blue.
I’ll try discharging and balancing LiPo down to 3.75 volts per cell and try charging until light goes off or if voltage rises.
I am hoping the older cell is simply worn out but it does charge and balance using an external charger but 4 hours on Taranis won’t get the packs total voltage over 4.0.

11 26-Jun-2020, 06:22 PM (This post was last modified: 26-Jun-2020, 06:27 PM by Rob3ddd.) I put LiPo in at 3.82volts per cell or 7.6 volts total and plugged in usb charger and will see if light goes out.
Also my is 2019 version which only takes Lixx cells.
I was mistaken it’s a 2S 1C 800mah LiPo.

388 4.0v for a 2S is a dead and damaged pack. Most balance charger will refuse to even charge anything that low.

11 The new LiPo voltage stayed at a constant 7.6 after 5 hours using internal charger.
The voltage stays constant whether charging or not charging so I suspect charger is defective.
Is there any thing internal that could be loose, unplugged, cold solder joint, crossed bridges inside the transmitter?
I really don’t want to send it back because everything else seems to work.Powers right up,binds, external modules work, flashes software,etc...

388 I am not familiar with the internal workings of the X9D. Maybe someone else will chime in.

101 Sorry I missed this. Unfortunately I just charge my lipo through my charger like any other lipo. I don't use the USB cable. I'll have a check though to see if I get this issue.
