T motor users beware |
15-Jun-2021, 11:39 PM Quick way to lose credibility. 16-Jun-2021, 12:32 AM (This post was last modified: 16-Jun-2021, 11:54 AM by SnowLeopardFPV. Edit Reason: Corrected mis-spelled name. ) Vivian Tan and some other T-Motor employees have broken away from T-Motor and started a new company called Axis Flying, and they will be manufacturing and selling motors amongst other things. So it looks like we will have a kid on the block providing the hobby with motors that are as good or better than what we've been used to from T-Motor. Their Facebook page is at the link below... https://www.facebook.com/Axisflying Damien Gans (Black Bird FPV) has now also disassociated himself from T-Motor and is moving his brand of Black Bird motors to Axis Flying... https://www.facebook.com/652046650/video...6778861651 16-Jun-2021, 11:15 AM (16-Jun-2021, 12:32 AM)SnowLeopardFPV Wrote: Vivian Tan and some other T-Motor employees have broken away from T-Motor and started a new company called Axis Flying, and they will be manufacturing and selling motors amongst other things. Interesting, didn't even know this ! 16-Jun-2021, 11:26 AM (This post was last modified: 16-Jun-2021, 11:54 AM by SnowLeopardFPV. Edit Reason: Corrected mis-spelled name. ) 16-Jun-2021, 04:23 PM Yeah... JB said they only sell from their company at the moment.. and are sending motors out to pilots.. I hope things work out for them.. and they offer a quality product.. doing something like this is a big leap for anyone... 16-Jun-2021, 05:34 PM I just broke one of these recently!!!! All this time I thought it was my epic sbang skillz. 16-Jun-2021, 05:57 PM Damien made another statement on his FB page this morning... https://www.facebook.com/DamiGans/posts/...8617331651 If you read through the comments, below was T-Motor's response to some questions he asked them Someone at T-Motor clearly doesn't have a clue about motor design, which is quite worrying. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=...8623571651 17-Jun-2021, 12:34 AM cant believe this, t-motor was a highquality-tradition-brand 17-Jun-2021, 02:26 AM It seems to be a recent batch issue with the 6S version. My original set of 4S BB V2 still going strong but I will be a bit weary of any new replacement and will pay extra close attention to the magnets. YouTube - Juicy FPV Journey 17-Jun-2021, 04:53 AM Well this is Sad, the F40 Pro series of motors were my all time favourites 17-Jun-2021, 08:26 AM The issue only seems to be prevalent on the batch 8 Black Bird V2 motors. Any of the earlier batches seem to be OK. If anyone has any T-Motor Black Bird V2 motors, check for "08" (or a later number) stamped somewhere on the base. Anything with an earlier number should be OK. What this all means for the other lines of T-Motor motors going forward I don't know, but if anyone buys some they would be wise to thoroughly check the magnets when they get them. If you own a previous motor of the same type then comparing new motors to the older ones will also make any anomalies easier to spot. I've always been a big fan of T-Motor. But other companies are really stepping up their game. I am liking the new Diatone Mamba line of motors, Flywoo has been impressing on all fronts not just motors, and Airblade UAV has been in my opinion a big sleeper in the micro motor department. I guess all empires must fall. 18-Jun-2021, 08:03 AM I got these motors just days before I saw this. And just my luck these are 08's. Took a peek at the magnets and yep...smaller sizes mixed here and there. Just my luck. 18-Jun-2021, 08:46 AM (18-Jun-2021, 08:03 AM)Bud13420 Wrote: I got these motors just days before I saw this. The only sensible thing to do is to contact the vendor and get them returned for full refund. I assume you're already doing that. Make sure you also demand a full refund for any shipping you paid as well because this wasn't your fault. The vendor will then need to claim that money back from T-Motor. |
