[SOLVED] Toolkit m7 Balance port cells match error when trying to charge 1s lipo
#1
Hello,

I just got new toolkit m7 charger and trying to charge 1s lipo with it.
I set cell count to 1 and trying to charge.
As soon as I start I get error, “Balance port cells match error”

Any idea how to charge 1s using this?

Thanks.

I don't have a Toolkit M7 charger but on my charger you need to select the standard LiPo "Charge" option (not balance charge) to charge 1S LiPos. That is because there are no cells to "balance" so you just charge it as a single cell battery. I'm not sire if the M7 charger requires you to do the same or not, or if you have separate "Charge" and "Balance Charge" options but just a pointer for you to have a look into. If that doesn't help then if there is a firmware update available for the charger then make sire yours is on the latest firmware version.

Exactly as you said, in my old imax b6 I select charge instead of balance charge to charge 1s.
But in M7, I only have charge, discharge and storage charge options.

I will check if there is a firmware update available.

Also something off topic, 3.8v written 1s lipo means it’s LIHV right? I can charge to 4.35V?
https://www.hglrc.com/collections/hglrc/...um-battery is the one.

I charge LIHV batteries as regular LIPO batteries. They last longer this way.

After I updated to firmware version 2.01, power mode stopped working. Does this mode work for you?

Yes

Quote:1. Press and hold the scroll wheel to enter the system settings and select "Default".
2. Try again to see if the power mode is available.
