Solder Fume Extractor
#1
Maybe some people enjoy the smell of solder smokes... but for those who don't you should really use a solder fume extractor Smile

It's basically just a fan with a filter!
But I designed a 3D printed case for it, with a few other components to make it friendly to use.
Powered by a 4S LiPo, and same power comes out the other side to power my TS100 iron.

That solder tip is awfully close to the carpet.

Nice design.

Great idea!  Although I don't have a 3D printer, YET, you gave me an idea for one of 4 cabinet fans I 've had laying around.

I love the smell of solder.  But I also know it's toxic.  So I use the exhaust fan in the shop to move the fumes out away from me.  This hasn't been real effective.  I think my adaptation to your idea will work nicely.  And since I have everything, it will be free.
